Color the World is a 2D sidescrolling narrative game in which the player adds color to the grey world as they progress.
In Color the World, the player only has the ability to walk left or right. As they move through the world, they encounter objects that, when they pass them, become colorful. As the levels progress, the world around the player grows more and more colorful while they change the color of objects as they continue.
This game was developed as a Valentine's Day gift. When I started, I had never used Unity to make a 2D game before, and it had been a few years since I'd even really used Unity. This was part of the reason I decided to keep the game simple. I taught myself C# as well as re-taught myself how to use Unity, learning some new tools along the way. This game also spurred me to develop my first ever walk cycle animation, seen on the player. Overall, I had a great time making this game, and I learned a lot from it.
